of Existing Human Resource Practices |

Our
comprehensive Human Resource Appraisal system enables us to consult,
discuss and evaluate an organisation’s current procedures,
establishing areas of non-compliance and deficiency. This results
in a thorough assessment and needs analysis that highlights the
specific practices required to meet legislative obligations and
achieve business objectives.

and Procedures Manual |

Our
Human Resource Policies and Procedures Manual is not an ‘off
the shelf’ product. From experience such products are often
purchased with good intention but then left to ‘gather dust’
due to the complexity and time consuming process of customisation
and implementation. The clients we work with adopt and
value our manual due to its seamless integration into their existing
business practices.
Formal,
integrated and regularly maintained policies and procedures
provide the foundation stone on which to build other successful
strategies. Our Policy
and Procedure Manual encompasses all aspects of a progressive
employment relationship, providing all parties with a clear understanding
of their responsibilities, objectives and expectations. This creates
a united positive culture and cultivates development and growth.
Ineffective
Human Resource practices are costly to an organisation on many
levels. As a result, the Policies and Procedures Manual covers
all employment issues from developing position descriptions, to managing day-to-day employee
relations and right through to termination of employment.

Phase
1
The implementation process commences with a comprehensive appraisal
evaluating your existing procedures and uncovering areas of non-compliance
and deficiency. This is a structured process with minimum disruption
to your business, requiring as little or as much input as you
like. During this time we meet your nominated key contacts, set
timeframes and gather essential information.
Phase
2
Utilising data gathered, governing employment conditions,
current legislation and best practice business principles, your
Human Resource Policy and Procedure Manual is then customised to
include your mission, vision, values, business objectives and
current practices; as these impact on all facets of the employment
relationship. This phase concludes with the presentation of a
drafted copy of your manual for your approval.
Phase
3
Consolidating any additional information, updates or changes the
finished product is agreed, formatted with your corporate image
and logo and can be presented on your organisations intranet,
dedicated network drive, compact disc or printed hard copy based
on the specific demographics of your workforce.
The manual
has an easy to read format with subsections clearly stating the
organisation’s policy, a step-by-step procedure and explanation
of applicable legislative obligations. Each policy is supported
with the provision of easy to follow, customised templates and
forms that are essential to formally document employment practices.
The final
product is integrated into the business through training workshops
with senior management, line managers and employees as nominated
by your organisation. Each workshop is customised to best suit
the target audience and is supported with practical and instructional
exercises detailing responsibilities and providing the confidence
to gainfully incorporate them into day-to-day practices.

For
Human Resource management strategies to be effective they should
be linked to the organisation’s vision, mission, values,
objectives and business plan. This alignment is vital as it provides
clear direction, unity and structure for the setting and attainment
of individual, business unit and organisational objectives.
To assist
organisations that have not had the opportunity to formalise or
update this component of their business, we have designed a Strategic
Business Development Workshop. This facilitated program is very
interactive, encourages collaboration and invites and values input
from all areas of the business, resulting in clearly defined organisational
vision, mission and values and the setting of strategic objectives
for the business as a whole.
This process
imparts knowledge to line managers to then transfer the same principles
in guiding individual teams to work in partnership and define
business unit objectives for their respective departments –
in alignment with the organisation as a whole.
